The point of this section is not to list all SF books that mention a war, but to focus on these stories where military stuff is a strong focus, from spaceship battles to hand-to-hand ground combat. Some writers, sometimes helped by a former military career, describe the grim and brutal reality of daily tactics. Others write magnificent space operas with intricate political plots, where wars take a strategic place. Beyond the most famous works from writers such as Drake, Heinlein or Haldeman, you might me suprised to see how many books fit within that type of stories. | ||||
