      The story is told by Teilo, a Cumbrian blacksmith and a wise man of the Old Religion. Morgan comes as the bride of Urien, king of Rheged. Teilo rashly tries to match his power with hers and suffers terror and humiliation as a result. He discovers that Merlin is secretly raising Arthur nearby. Will Morgan destroy Arthur when he comes out into the open to claim his crown? Or is she consumed by a love for him, which her sisters thwart?
