Haunted depicts the story of a woman who is murdered in her home and discovers that her spirit is trapped in the house. The book covers the span of seventeen years during which she has to come to terms with this plight. She is tormented by regrets from the past and angry at the present. She paces between the walls of her home - sometimes empty, sometimes filled with people - chasing her demons, questioning her faith and often meddling in the lives of the living. Over time she begins to let go of some of her selfishness, anger and bitterness and begins to, once again, feel compassion and understanding. She gets the opportunity to play a special role in the lives of a few people and it is through these people that she achieves new awareness. It is an odd story of overcoming adversity. It contains a bit of strong language, humor and a lot of imagination.
