or the past two hundred years, the citizens of Viron have lived peaceful lives. Their government is stable, their environment is controlled, technology has made their lives incredibly easy. Safeguards keep them safe from harm and the outside world. Their ancestors conquered mental illness and the criminal mind. Or so they thought... A rash of murders has shredded their peaceful lives and thrown the very fabric of their society into question. Gruesome, public and extreme, these murders shouldn't, couldn't be happening.|
Gunther Siggurdson leads a team investigating the phenomemon-that is, the parts of it he is allowed to investigate. Nothing is as it seemed. Their core beliefs are based on propaganda and falsehoods. Their society is based on rigid class structure and those at the top control everything. Their methods of ensuring peace are suspect. It is up to one man to rescue their dream, even if he has to destroy their world to do it.
