	Two preteen orphans set out to find a Christmas tree for their orphanage during a blinding snowstorm in Nebraska. Their first encounter is with a fire-breathing dinosaur who promises to help them with their quest to find the tree. Their fantastic adventures take them through a world of fantasy and misadventure with pirates, Merlin the wizard, a hermit named Skunk, a rare double pakky mushroom, a genie, the four sister winds, a tribe of six inch tall Owllys, His Highness of the kingdom of BottomTop, and many other strange encounters. Their adventures culminate on the Mountain of Doom in a witch's castle, without hope for finding a suitable tree or getting back to Saint Anthony's Orphanage until...
