Dark and brooding, a lonely relic of a turn-of-the-century mansion sits amid an overgrowth of rank weeds and decay in the middle of Louisiana’s swamplands about twenty-five miles from New Orleans. The house should never have been built and has a long history of misery, horror, tragedy and mystery. People have disappeared. Others have died. Now, an energetic youngster who thinks he has something to prove is about to take the “dare” of his life. It is Halloween, and the Grussen Place awaits anyone foolish enough to play “Trick or Treat!”
