Enter the world of Dr. Zoe Frazier, a geophysicist whose abstract scientific theory is about to become reality in The Turning. Imagine how she must convince herself, her scientific peers and the rest of the population that a shift in the Earth's axis is imminent--a shift that will precipitate enormous earthquakes, a total collapse of the Earth's magnetic field and in North America, a flood that will drown most of the continent. As time runs out, both scientific and business interests are determined to stop Zoe and her band of scientists at all costs, even if it means wiping them out to prevent them from broadcasting the truth. Yet, only with hours to go, it becomes clear that The Turning is much more than Armageddon. It is the means by which a select group of individuals will start a New World, and the key is a female Unitarian Minister from Ohio who has lost her faith in God as she knows Him. Somehow, science and spirituality must be melded to bring salvation. And as if Zoe has enough problems with her credibility, she has a tightly held secret that she doesn't want the world to know...
