The father's machinations sucking Brit through The Drain with no chance of return for forty years. Brit anything but pleased at having been bartered without having had any say in the matter.
The aftermath pitting irate son against the infamous traitor from the Battle for Della-Tyl. Brit out for revenge and enlisting a barbarian planet's unsuspecting population to instigate a nefarious scheme of payback that has his father directly in deadly crosshairs and has Brit masquerading as a resurrected alien god.
