When a conservative government elevates the 10
Commandments over the Bill of Rights, suburban
truck-driver John Kolzig finds his life changing in
unexpected ways. The block deacon keeps an eye on
John and his neighbors lest they break a Commandment.
Faith is compulsory, alcohol, tobacco and firearms are
banned, and they're burning Shakespeare in the church
parking lot.
From the sanctity of his neighborhood speakeasy, John
rails against the system, but continues to bend to the
rules. But when he commits a felony by falling in love
with another man's wife, John's only prayer is a
desperate flight to freedom aboard a modern-day
Underground Railroad.
