The Hamba is a golden symbol with diamonds and an emerald set into it, and was created in Africa by the "Maroons" in the twelfth century. The novel and the screenplay are based on a young girl, Sarah, who needs to find this Hamba in order to save herself from three deadly apparitions who haunt her everywhere she goes. But in order to do so, she must travel to Jamaica. While in Jamaica, she finds the dedicated help of a psychic and her family ... and falls in love with Kevin, the psychic's son.
