	Austin and his dog Lucky have been inseparable ever since the lost border collie wandered onto the family farm and into Austin’s life and decided to stay. But one stormy summer’s day, a miraculous accident brings the two closer together than either could have imagined and changes their lives forever. After a tornado hits the family farm, Austin’s parents are missing and Lucky is able to communicate with his master. Austin and Lucky decide to use their special abilities to talk to one another and set out toward many adventures. The first in a series, "The Lucky Dog" provides a unique look into the bonds between humans and animals and encourages young readers to condider the possibilities that can be found in friendships of all kinds.
