Catspaw has just become the new King of the Hollow Kingdom
when an elf lord brings a small band of elves back to live
in their ancestral forest. The two men pledge to work
together, but peace between elves and goblins is always fragile, and soon the leaders allow their personal hatred for one another to jeopardize the survival of their own people.

Marak has raised Miranda, Til's daughter, to become
Catspaw's wife. Now the young human woman finds herself
caught up in the political maneuvering of the hostile
rulers. Trapped in their plots, Miranda becomes the two
men's greatest reason for war-and may be their only hope for a future.
