Paleontologist Dr. Ben Errington makes the find of a lifetime when, out on a dig in Montana, he comes across a human fossil; a gold ring wrapped around a finger bone. What makes this relic so special is that the time period from which it came was tens of millions of years before humans would be present, the Cretaceous Period. In other words; the fossil shouldn't exist. Captain Stefanus, of the earth ship Enos nine-two is a seasoned space traveler of the 32nd century and experienced in traveling through the dangerous space-time phenomena know as wormholes. On a mission to Mars, he and his crew learn that they must traverse not one, but two wormholes to pick up the 21st century scientist, Dr. Errington, and his discovery and return the human fossil back to the Cretaceous Period in order to complete the time loop. But in doing so, Captain Stefanus must knowingly put someone aboard his ship in harm's way, or possibly even to death.
