In a future England--one that suffers from overpopulation--citizens are installed with an internal mechanism that kills them at age 75. Matlock, the original sponsor of the law, is now an uncomfortably close 69, and he's beginning to think that the "Age Law" was a bad idea. But how will he convince the rest of the country to get rid of the law before his time runs out?
