  On the island of Madagascar there lives an ancient creature known as the fossa, or "foosa" to the locals. Small and ferocious, it is the meanest and most bloodthirsty creature known to modern man. It has little to do with humans and so consequently, little is known about it. But many on the island believe that the modern fossa’s ancient, giant ancestor still lives along the island’s eastern coast.
