Forrest Wanders's vacation from his career of many talents is cut short when he is called away to investigate a mystery in the South Atlantic ocean. An island is discovered where no island should be, and on it is a civilization where intelligent living dinosaurs and humans coexist in harmony.

The idea of life outside the island is absurd to these inhabitants, and Forrest is secretly banished from the city, with the island's most ruthless assassin hot on his trail. In his travels he meets up with many friends and enemies in this pristine land that is untouched by modernization.

All during this time something becomes dreadfully wrong with the power that has kept this island hidden for all these millennia, and the people lack the skills to repair it. It is decided to seek out Forrest and illicit his help. The team Forrest came with repair the machinery, and a treaty of peace between them seems imminent.

Unknown to everyone, a massive uprising takes place, and nearly destroys any hope of peace. The discoverers of Mesazoia band together with the people and fend off this massive attack. Victory is soon theirs, but an unknown terror is unleashed upon the land - a terror from Forrest's past...
