	Frank Somers is a timid fourteen-year-old middle school student who is persecuted by his peers. Despite his misfortune, he befriends a boy named Rick. Following an accident, Frank becomes comatose for two and a half days. While in the coma, he finds himself ten years older in Las Vegas, in an alternate existence where the past and present are juxtaposed in a very bizarre fashion. A gorgeous redhead and a dead President guide Frank back to the present world. He emerges from his coma with a renewed sense of self-esteem and confidence.
