      Breanna woke up in a cold sweat, shaking from head to toe. She had that dream again—the one with the Eyes. They don’t look human and they terrify her. The Eyes haunt her dreams, and this night, they tried to kill her favorite cat, the one who always purrs comfort when she’s lonely or sad. They want to kill her, too. Why? She can’t sleep anymore, and spends the night packing for her trip to Egypt, to spend the summer with her grandfather on his dig. Maybe the Eyes will leave her alone there. In Egypt, life only gets stranger. She meets two aliens, Raul and Aaliyah, who tell her they have been sent to guide and protect her. Protect her from what? The Eyes? Who are the Eyes?
