In Lomork: The Way of a King, that kingdom will be changed forever. With four of his five daughters married, King Dolos faces the cruel prospect of bankruptcy. He follows advice that leads to the unexplored land of the Torgs. To revive his treasury, he will do battle, renew old alliances, and send his only unmarried daughter as an emissary to the Torgs. Those who stand against him are the rumored vicious Torgs, the drug-dealing Valcons, and his relatives by marriage, the Picaroon, who wish to take a majority of the profits by force. Leading the list is a merchant who betrays his king and duke by handing over a false map, dangerous trails, and red herring books that will lead to death, a fiery destruction, plus the marriage of the king’s last daughter and the birth of a male heir.
