Vampires are real. They can go out during the day. They can eat garlic. Crosses and holy water don't faze them. They aren't Bela Lugosi.
Instead, they are the victims of a disease that turns them into predators on the rest of humanity. But the disease has beneficial side effects; it slows the aging process, allows them to rapidly heal from injuries, gives them preternatural speed and strength.
But they have to keep a low profile in order to avoid being noticed by the rest of humanity and hunted down.
The Hunt is the story of five people who are accidentally infected, and the vampire who is sent to bring them in before they attract too much attention.
