Ancient interstellar insects are expelled along with escaping gasses from a passing comet. Many of their number happen upon a satellite in orbit around our own planet.
At the same time an ancient, exiled and cold consciousness that had also been trapped on the same comet accompanies the insect population. This consciousness then possesses the colony of creatures with the intention of using them in any way it can to find a way back onto a modern planet earth.
With the aid of the insect colony the alien reconfigures and reprograms the satellite.
The agenda begins with the casting of images of the insects to the surface. These images take on gigantic proportions, then as they gain strength these images also become capable of feeding.
Research scientists at a remote NASA compound in New Mexico fall prey to the same alien as well as to their own greed, unaware of and in some cases, not really concerned about the terrible dangers involved.
Soon several innocent individuals are caught up in the violence and destruction leading up to the crucial transport sequence.
All the while one man plans to profit by the physical transport of one of the space invaders down to the surface.
Through teamwork and resourcefulness the innocent battle for their lives against an enemy that has never before been encountered by man. And yet, could the battle be only just beginning?
