  Imagine if the Roman Empire had never ended. Would our world be any different? Would Celtic cultures still have to struggle against Roman oppression, or would cultural tolerance and respect for boundaries prevail? The setting is a small university town in Appalachia. The Romans have assimilated all but the last handful of Celtic inhabitants on Earth. Professor William J.
