BALANCE OF EMPIRE (KARMA) began life as a rollicking, good old fashioned, global adventure story with a sci-fi cum supernatural theme. But, as it progressed, politics, the Human Rights Act, and Political Correctness crept in, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to satirize laws that had been designed for the law-abiding, but had been hijacked by shyster lawyers for the almost exclusive benefit of their, less than law-abiding, clientele. I feel that I must point out that at 426 pages, my book is rather long, but as I absolutely refused to cut it (the controversial bits), I was left with no option but to self-publish.
