	Asoiavan is a world of magic and fantastic beings, of knights and wizards, of monsters and gods. The main continent of the realm is divided into several kingdoms, duchies, and city-states. Six evil wizards plot to upset the balance of power and enslave all the nations of free peoples. Their quest: to bring forth the prophesized second coming of the Demi-god Ijavos, whose last period of existence in the realm brought about the fall of the old empire and the beginning of the dark ages. Ijol Halen is the first woman Paladin born to her family’s bloodline that spans back millennia to the beginnings of the old empire. On the eve of her coronation ceremony as the King of Uvidalov’s Crown Champion and Grand Arbiter, she and two of her companions cross paths with a small band of thieves. Framed for murder and theft, the Paladin is forced to trust in the thieves and her faith as she is thrust out into the wilderness on a quest that holds the fate of her entire world in balance.
