	In Burlington, New Jersey, in 1735, Mrs. Leeds is about to give birth. Two hundred and seventy one years later, New Jersey school teacher Cindy Garcia is brutally murdered. The perpetrator broke every bone in her body. Authorities determine that no human could have inflicted this much damage. A hair found on Garcia's body is determined to be more than two hundred years old. Is the Jersey Devil more than a myth? Soon, three ordinary people-police officer John Garcia, lab worker Maria Sandner, and Professor Edward Artiste-become embroiled in the mystery of this monster. The three must decipher the clues linked to hidden scrolls, a locket, and a bracelet before death strikes again in The Jersey Devil.
