      While revisiting a peaceful planet for some well-earned rest and relaxation, Elizabeth Thorne is beset by the anguish of an unknown entity. This surprising entity is crucial to the survival of the planet itself as well as its people, and Elizabeth is its last best hope.

    Elizabeth's Sympath abilities are put to the test when she and the Captain find that their wedding gift is much more than they had ever dreamed. Their unique relationship with each other and with the entity will turn out to be their greatest weapons in their mission.
    However, when Elizabeth and Captain Bianchi offer to help find out what happened, they discover that they are being watched and manipulated by the very people they are trying to help. When their Federation and the Galaxy call upon them, their love, their dedication, and their combined strengths are the keys to resolving the ancient mysteries of the planet’s history as well as helping its people survive.
