	Somewhere in the cosmos lies The Old Country, a fabulous, magical world. Wizards and the iniquitous Great Lords create trouble and strife for all of humanity, Faery and for two hapless Earthlings. Jade and Jester, arbitrarily kidnapped from Earth by the wizards to undergo a search for an unknown but powerful magical entity, come to see the truth of the unhappiness that prevails. They have been given some magical items. With the help of these and making friends of elves and some of the Great Lords, they set out to do what they can to curb the power of the Great Lords and the wizards. How they undergo adventures, some of them violent and frightening, how they eventually succeed is an entertaining and worthwhile read.
