I AM DRACULA is told in Dracula's own words. From his childhood as a war hostage to his rulership of a nation and struggles against invading forces, to his initiation into the occult mysteries of Vampirism at the hands of the beautiful Gypsy Witch Tzigane, this novel merges the accepted history of Vlad the Impaler with the hidden history of how he became Dracula the Vampire. But after being enthroned as a Vampire King, Vlad Dracula is betrayed and his beloved mate Tzigane condemned to Hell. His search for a Third Power with which to fight both God and Satan reveals the power of the Earth Herself. Only by making allies of the Gods and Goddess native to the Earth can he fight the usurping powers of Heaven and Hell to rescue Tzigane. And among those allies is the most ancient manifestation the Earth's own consciousness, the deadly Dragon-Goddess Tiamat, imprisoned ages ago beneath the very stones of Castle Dracula itself.
