Bridget Davis began writing at the age of 13 years old in which she won an essay contest to Russia for two months. This took Bridget away from Harlem where she grew up for the entire summer.
Ms. Davis' first novel "Momma's Purle" about an African American woman Sarah James raising her 5 daughter's in Harlem after the Vietnam war. Bridget's second novel Retsis which is sister spelled backwards, is supernatural. It brings the reality of the things that we cannot see into perspective.
