  About the author

Edward Daniel Detetcheverrie was born in Newport News, Virginia all the way back in 1970. Able to read at age three, he tried his hand at writing poetry in the third grade, then a short children's novel in the fourth. His first poem was published by a national magazine when he was sixteen, his first published book was a mystery that hit bookstores in 2001. He studied biology in college and has worked behind the scenes in television broadcasting, as a volunteer stablehand, as a security specialist, and as a manager for a major bookstore. As an artist, Ed has produced pieces for live TV news and commercial use, promotional pieces for a variety of different companies and businesses, and done work for two theme parks.

Currently, he resides in a log cabin somewhere in the subtropics with a variety of exotic fowl, a rescued orphaned cat, and an extremely spoiled dog. His favorite timekillers include writing, reading, target shooting, hiking, canoeing, fishing, gardening, martial arts, spelunking, movie viewing, and gathering inspiration for his stories from his nightly dreams.
