Thomas Edward Fuller was born October 8, 1948 in Jasper, Alabama to Roy T. and Anne M. Fuller. He died November 21, 2002 at Joan Glancy Hospital in Duluth, Georgia following a weeklong hospitalization due to a heart attack.

Fuller held an MFA in playwriting from The University of Georgia, and taught creative writing for the Georgia State University North Metro campus for ten years.
