Robert Goff is a graduate of the University of Missouri—St. Louis and the University of Missouri School of Medicine—Columbia. He served as a pediatrician and flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. He has lived throughout the U.S. and in Germany. His travels have taken him across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caribbean. In recent years, he has engaged in extensive software development, including 3D game development, and teaches at a local community college. He has published numerous technical articles and currently writes poetry, historical fiction, fantasy fiction and philosophy in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. He is an ardent backpacker and lives with his huge, fluffy hiking dog, Shanghai (who carries her own pack, thank you).
