Anne Hart writes the DNA Detective series and is interested in the meeting of DNA studies in molecular genetics with genealogy and ancient migrations.
She began to read widely in molecular genetics, paleoanthropology, archaeogenetics and world history and began writing fiction at the age of eleven. As a grown-up she studied creative writing and obtained a masters degree in English/Creative Writing, keeping a life-long interest in reading about population genetics, the peopling of the world, and the history and geography of human genes.
She obtained a community college teaching credential in teaching language arts and then began to write one or more novels a year since 1963 in the genres of mainstream, mystery, science fiction, adventure, romance, suspense, and thrillers. She has written fifty-six books. Twenty-nine are currently in print.
