Webb J. Hartmann was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and grew up in the family shoe business. He pursued a career in marketing and advertising and was editor of several small town newspapers where he had to wear many hats, which included writing. Having written many short stories and published a play called "Ruby Red's Diner", he decided to write his first novel dedicated to his wife Cecilia at the retirement age of sixty-eight. | ||||
