Michael P. Higgins is retired these days, living a life of ease and indolence on the balmy Gulf Coast of Florida, President George Bush's favorite state. Born in Yonkers in 1945, he worked as a New York City electrician for thirty five years. He is the father of two fine people, Marlene and Derek, currently attending separate colleges, and the devoted husband of Nancy, an innocent young woman who foolishly married him in 1973. He graduated from the State University of New York with a BS diploma, which proved of no use to him whatsoever.
Mike, as some call him, was very active in the City, not only in civic and political groups but also as a high-ranking Freemason, part of that secretive fraternity well known to rule the world. Despite his Masonic connections, amazingly, he has yet to find a literary agent.
