Njara Hjalmar was born in Portland, Jamaica in 1977, and by age eighteen, had written a 900-page novel, seventy-four songs and won a national literary award. Since graduating from the University of the West Indies, she has taught English Literature and currently teaches in France, her second home. | ||||
