Bryan Kolar was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 27, 1971. He discovered his talent for writing at age 9 when he stapled together some pages he wrote and drew of a book on dinosaurs. He spent many hours designing campaigns for the weekly Dungeons & Dragons game that took place at his neighbor’s house.

Out of these gaming nights was born a story that eventually evolved into the first draft of Tales of Fate and Endeavor. Over the years Bryan served in the Marines Corps, obtained a BA in Psychology, and certified as a Microsoft Systems Engineer. Finally, in 1998, the novel was complete. Bryan currently works as a computer technician for a major package delivery company.

He has been married to Sheryle since 1991 and their son, Brandon, was born in December of 2000.
