Gerald Libonati is an award-winning journalist for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale. He has written for the Miami Herald and other newspapers including the University of Miami Hurricane. He was born in Teaneck, N.J. and studied art in Aix en Provence, France. While there, he traveled throughout Europe and visited ancient sites and sacred structures. He started writing while in elementary school where he nagged the teacher to let him read his stories to the class.
