Steven Macon was born in Asheboro, North Carolina. He began entertaining his classmates in fourth grade with fantasy tales he would simply make up as he went along. His first written effort was a puppet play for his fifth grade class, which he produced and directed with several of his friends.
A first novel was began in seventh grade, which was co-authored with another school friend. That book was finished a year later. It went through several drafts and was submitted to several major book publishers when Steven and his friend entered tenth grade. This book was influenced by the movies, Earth vs The Flying Saucers and War of The Worlds. Even though the manuscript was rejected countless times, Steven moved on to other writing efforts.
Steven currently works for the US Postal Service as a distribution clerk in southwestern Virginia. He and his wife, Debra, both enjoy reading and "tootling" around the scenic country side of Virginia.
