Tess Mallory is a Texas author whose father started her off right by reading "I, Robot" as a bedtime story when she was five years old. She says she was raised on Asimov, Irish folktales, Star Trek and Puff the Magic Dragon, so is it any wonder she grew up loving fantasy and romance and time travel and phasers? It seemed pretty natural to her to become a writer because she was already creating worlds in her head, so why not put them down on paper?

Tess teaches writing workshops in the Texas Hill Country and also writes publicity for a non-profit outdoor theatre.
