Misty Massey has always been a voracious reader. Her parents encouraged her love of books, a gift more valuable to her than anything else they could have given her. It was no surprise to anyone when she began writing. She dabbled with short stories for years, even publishing a few in small
press magazines, until she found and joined a writing critique group, and tried her hand at writing novels. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading, belly dancing and playing a pirate character at the Carolina Renaissance Faire, based on the pirates of the early 17th century.
She runs the circulation desk in a middle school
library, which allows her to keep up with current releases and new authors. Misty is married, with one son.
Biography provided by the author, November 2007.
