Nina Munteanu was born in Granby, Quebec, Canada. She received her Masters of Science Degree in Limnology at Concordia University prior to moving to the west coast of British Columbia to teach at the University of Victoria and work as an environmental consultant in Vancouver, B.C. Nina balances her work as a scientist and educator with her fiction and non-fiction writing. She is a member of SF Canada and served briefly as assistant editor-in-chief of Imagikon, a Romanian e-zine. Her short stories have been published in North America and translated and reprinted abroad. She lives with her family in Vancouver, British Columbia.
