Sue Nielsen was born in London, England, and educated in New Zealand. She moved to Australia when she was twenty, on her way to see the world. She has traveled extensively, including an overland trip in a double-decker bus from Australia to England, traveling through India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Turkey. Sue has been married thirty-five years to a Dane and has two daughters and a grandson. She has a Ph.D. in Information Systems and has worked and taught in the Information Technology Industry for almost thirty years. Sue is currently a Research Fellow with the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. Besides travel and IT, her main interests are science fiction, ancient history, the origins of language, and learning Auslan (the Australian sign language for the deaf).
