Julie Palella was born in San Jose California. Growing up with three siblings, they moved throughout the country all through her childhood. By the time she was 18 years old, Julie lived inCalifornia, Missouri, New York, Utah and Illinois. After studying English in Illinois at the College of Dupage, she began her writing career.

Writing short stories for contests and freelancing for
magazines and newspapers, she began to work on her first
novel. After her daughter was born, she was able to work
from home on the computer for a company selling Photo
Management Software. Working from home gave her a chance to
raise her now 17 year old daughter and also continue her
writing career.
