The writer's principal occupation for the last thirty-five years has been as an illustrator of general and educational books, magazines, greeting cards, etc. under the name of Dandi Palmer. She is interested in psychology, astronomy, history, archaeology, palaeontology, anthropology, photography, publishing, geology, and flying (theoretical) kites - though expert in none; and is a teetotal, vegetarian coeliac.
