  About the author

Malcolm Dylan Petteway, born in 1962 in Waterbury, Ct, is the son of the late Mr. Fred G. Petteway and Mrs. Catharen Petteway. He is an 18-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the United Air Force Academy and a Masters Degree in International Relations from California State University, Stanislaus. He is married to the former Karen McDonald. They have two daughters, Rashila and Shakara.

He and his family reside in Shreveport LA. Mr. Petteway is an avid fan of Science Fiction and Technical Thrillers, such as Star Trek, Star Wars and Tom Clancy Novels including his Op-Center and Power Plays. He is also a fan of Alex Haley's Roots. His creation, Osguards, is a contemporary blend of these genres. Most authors write characters they are comfortable with. This translates to characters that are vaguely but truly natural extensions of themselves. Mr. Petteway is no exception to this concept. His unique military experience coupled with his international relations and computer savvy gives him credence to reach an untapped audience of Science Fiction fans.
