Michael Puttré draws on his experience as an international aerospace, defense, and technology journalist to craft believable worlds in an age of starships.

As for his journalism background, of late, he was editor-in-chief of "The Journal of Electronic Defense" (Horizon House, Norwood, MA). Michael has also been an associate editor at "Mechanical Engineering" magazine (American Society of Mechanical Engineers, New York, NY), and an assistant editor at "Information Week" (CMP, Manhasset, NY). He had a feature article on GPS-guided weapons published in the February 2003 issue of "Scientific American."
