Thomas Settimi was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but spent school years in Minnesota, graduating from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He holds a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of California at Riverside.

For much of his early professional career he was engaged in technical writing for the Dept of the Navy and engineering firms. He is currently Director of Operations for a manufacturing business in Southern California.

Thomas resides near Lake Arrowhead, California, with his wife, Charlotte.
