Scot R. Stone was born in Wakefield, MI on February 12, 1972 and grew up in Arcadia, WI. He left Arcadia and attended Winona State University in Winona, MN, receiving a Bachelor's degree in mass communications with an emphasis in advertising and a minor in art in 1994. After graduation, Scot's first occupation was as a graphic design artist in Winona before meeting his future wife who was still gaining her degree at the same university. After his wife's graduation in 1995, they packed up their belongings and moved to Colorado. There, Scot found work in the corporate world until the age of 31.

After eight years of much success and hard work, Scot
decided to change his career and began writing his first series, the Snowtear Wars. In one weekend of destiny, Scot labored to create the world of Elvana and all its inhabitants. The plot of the Snowtear Wars began to take shape after he wrote late into the night over the next year while still maintaining his day work.

Scot R. Stone currently lives in Colorado with his wife and daughter, writing full time. Scot enjoys collecting antiques, skiing and spending time with family, friends and animals.
