K. Osborn Sullivan started writing fiction during free moments when her son was a baby, but it wasn't until he was older and introduced her to some excellent young adult fantasy literature that she developed a lasting interest in that genre.
Kimberly holds a Ph.D. in political science and has been a college instructor for more than a decade. She finds it particularly gratifying when students with no prior interest in the subject suddenly start reading newspapers and discussing world events in class.
In her spare time, Kimberly loves to hear good stories - whether they're in books, on television, or at the movies. She enjoys hearty laughs, thrilling adventures, and happy endings, all of which she tries to include in her own writing. After growing up in Chicago, Kimberly now resides in the suburbs with her husband and son, plus an assortment of formerly-stray cats.
